New boiler room with high-end steam boilers in pharmaceutical company
Location: Puurs - Antwerp
A major player in the pharmaceutical sector was looking to expand its production capacity and decided to build a completely new boiler room for this purpose alongside its existing, outdated boiler house. The new installation was designed with enough space for several new units, allowing for future expansion and more flexible production capacity to meet increasing demand.
After a thorough analysis by BBC, the following was recommended to increase the production capacity of the pharmaceutical company: the installation of three new steam boilers, each with a capacity of 4,000 kg of steam per hour, for a reliable and flexible supply of steam. It was also recommended to install a new deaerator and a new steam collector, connected to the old boiler house to integrate the systems. For optimum efficiency and operational reliability between the boilers, a cascade control system will be used so that the boilers can be dynamically controlled depending on demand.
