Compact steam boiler for innovative player in biological research
Location: Ghent - East Flanders
The current steam boiler of an innovative player in biotech research no longer meets the requirements for operational reliability. Due to expansion plans, there is also a need for additional capacities. A temporary rental boiler met the steam needs, but now had to make way for a permanent installation. The limited space in the boiler house posed an additional challenge in installing this new setup.
After a thorough analysis, it was proposed to install a 1000 kg/h fire-tube boiler that can operate in conjunction with the current boiler. This design makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the system in an economical way. The proposed boiler should also be small and compact to fit into the limited boiler house. The technical design of the chimney for the flue had to take into account the special requirements.
