Complete steam boiler plant for pharmaceutical company

Our customer has a need for a new drug production facility and for this purpose needs a complete steam boiler plant with a capacity of 10,000 kg/h or 15,000 kg/h. The installation must meet very high efficiency requirements to ensure optimal efficiency.

Analysis

BBC assisted the study firm in analyzing various alternatives, including capacities, economizers, and condensers. In addition, we prepared various budget estimates for each of these options. Finally, support was provided in preparing the final specifications for the tender, specifically for the boiler plant.

Solution

After receiving the special specifications (phase 1), BBC offered a complete, turnkey steam boiler plant with a steam production capacity of 10,000 kg/h, divided into two phases:

Phase 1: 8,400 kg/h with 2 boilers
Phase 2: Optional 1,600 kg/h in the future

In the area of energy efficiency, BBC offered the following measures:

Fully automatic boilers
Optimized economizers
Various counters and flow meters for analysis and trend monitoring
Burners with O₂ control and VSD
Preparation for a future condenser on one of the two boilers (including programming and flue pipe connections)
A system for keeping a boiler at temperature via a steam coil at the bottom of the boiler
Intelligent and automatic cascade control based on steam flow per boiler
