Rental boiler as emergency solution for soft drink producer

In July 2021, the boiler room of a soft drink producer was severely affected by dramatic flooding, with the boiler room flooded by up to 3 meters. All electrical components, electronics, control panels and accessories were damaged beyond repair. The producer turned to BBC asking if certain parts of the installation could still be saved. At the same time, there was an urgent need to restart production as soon as possible.
The first priority was thorough analysis of what cleaning work was needed to save the boiler corpus, economizer and deaerators. In addition, a rental boiler was proposed, complete with a separate fuel tank, since the gas supply had been completely cut off by the flood. This also included a deaerator, along with all the necessary flexible and partially fixed piping, in order to resume production as soon as possible.
Solution
BBC installed a 10-ton light fuel oil steam boiler, along with a fuel tank and deaerators. Thanks to the rapid connections of steam and water, the customer was able to be operational again in the foreseeable future. A thorough cleaning of the boiler, economizer and deaerator allowed for reuse. All components of the boiler, economizer and deaerator were renewed, however, and the control panels, water treatment systems and insulation of all components in the boiler house were also completely replaced.
