New steam installation for canned food company
Location: Mont St.Guibert - Walloon Brabant
Our client is a family business which produces all kinds of food preserves for the hotel and catering business both under private label and under its own brand names. As part of its expansion, they recently moved from the old site in Wavre to a new site in Mont St. Guibert. Our client opted to install a new steam installation with a larger capacity, top of the bill energetically and meeting the latest stringent emission standards in force in the Walloon region.
Our customer was looking for a partner for the realization of a completely new boiler house, where BBC could assist the architect from the design stage for all the necessary technical adjustments to the building, such as calculations and drawings of sewer connections, roof penetrations, wall penetrations, floor loads, lower and upper ventilation, …
In addition, the customer was looking for a partner for the hot water supply using the steam boiler and the necessary heat exchangers with their controls.
In addition, the boiler had to be correctly dimensioned for future production expansion.
Solution
Ul-S 2600 x 10
BBC realized the new boiler house with a 2.5 ton steam boiler at 6 bar working pressure and equipped with a gas burner with a high modulation range allowing the customer, especially in the initial phase, to operate at very small steam flow rates.
The project was carried out including piping, insulation, chimneys, chimneys, Blow down vessels, water feed tank and a steam/water heat exchanger, with the customer having continuous access to 4m³ of water per hour at 75°C.
